Empowering the Future: TAGDev 2.0 Equips University of Port Harcourt (UniPort) Students with 21st Century Skills.
In a rapidly evolving job market, the need to equip students with critical 21st century skills becomes paramount. From 15th – 16th of December 2025, TAGDev 2.0 Program, University of Port Harcourt with support from RUFORUM in partnership with Mastercard Foundation hosted a transformative two-day training, equipping students with the tools to thrive in today’s competitive job market. The hands-on experience focused on creativity, critical thinking, tech literacy, and personal mastery which are essential skills for the digital economy.
From idea generation to visual communication, students explored modules like digital creativity (content creation, video editing), entrepreneurial creativity, and creative problem-solving.
The event also launched the Student Climate Change Club, a platform for uniting passionate scholars to drive climate action in Nigeria. Members will collaborate, innovate, and compete with peers nationwide, thereby turning ideas into impact.
The future belongs to those who prepare for it. As the labour market evolves, UniPort leads the change in shaping job-ready, purpose-driven graduates. TAGDev 2.0 Program University of Port Harcourt is equipping students for the world of work and shaping graduates ready to drive Nigeria’s digital economy and climate resilience.
Kudos to the University of Port Harcourt, Vice Chancellor of UniPort, TAGDev 2.0 Program Team, facilitators, and students for embracing innovation.
